I’ll have to put this in Cinema Symbolism 4. Regan MacNeil’s (Linda Blair, left) paper mache bird sculpture from The Exorcist (1973) turns up in Charlie’s bird drawing (right) in Hereditary (2018). And why not? Both movies are about demonic possession.
