Fast-forward to a little over three years later, to January 26th, 2020, when Kobe Bryant perished in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. Moreover, Kobe Bryant wore number 24. Two days ago, on January 24, I cut check number 2424. Believe it, or not. RIP
