I have made some additions to Cinema Symbolism 4’s Preface, and I think it is a massive upgrade. My original plan was to cover 77 (OZ, Baphomet) in the Preface and save 42 (the Dark Mother, the rainbow) for the Introduction. However, as I continued to write the book, it was not working, and it became clear that 42 had to be explained/included in the Preface. As such, here it is revised, with some more images (pulled from the Introduction and Chapter I) and added material from other parts of the book. Most of what follows is the original Preface (this is still a rough draft, subject to edits and additions/subtractions), posted over a month ago. But beforehand, enjoy Officer Dorf discussing “Crazy” Ralph Neeley from Friday the 13th (1980). FYI: the text that is left-center justified is the image description.

To this author, the thought of writing another occult movie book in the vein of Cinema Symbolism 2 (2017) and Cinema Symbolism 3 (2021) is, quite frankly, nauseating. I have no interest in drafting another volume focusing on a particular movie, then analyzing it through an esoteric-Hermetic-Gnostic lens while identifying Easter eggs. I’ll take a rain check on that.

Instead, this time around, I am taking Cinema Symbolism 4 in another direction. While select films will get individual chapters (those with well-hidden undercurrents like The Batman, 2022), this book will focus on arcane topics and how certain movies project and visualize the occult, magic, and mythology into pop culture, casting powerful spells. For instance, rather than apply Joseph Campbell’s (1904-1987) monomyth to a specific film, I will present the elements of the hero’s journey and identify them as they appear in cinema proper. Indeed, I will continue to point out Easter eggs as I discover them; if I didn’t do that, what sort of analyst would I be?

And speaking of Easter eggs, let me point out a few I’ve recently missed, starting with that elusive one in Mother! (2017). A Gnostic flick that looks like it was directed by Valentinus (ca. 100-ca. 180 CE) and produced by Philo of Alexandria (ca. 25 BCE-ca. 50 CE) was dissected thoroughly in Cinema Symbolism 3 (2021) by yours truly. However, upon rewatching it in the autumn of 2021, I noticed the yellow elixir Mother (Jennifer Lawrence) drinks to ease her anxiety alludes to the Rolling Stones’ appropriately titled song “Mother’s Little Helper” (1966). The tune is about a mama who consumes yellow tranquilizers to alleviate her depression. Does not Lawrence’s Sophia-like goddess go “♫ …running for the shelter of her mother’s little helper ♫” to get her through her “♫ busy dying days ♫” spent with the demiurgic, capricious Him (Javier Bardem)?

Each time I watch Black Swan (2010), a movie that gave Emily Blunt an anxiety attack, I see something new, and here is another one.[1] When Nina Sayers (Natalie Portman) goes to bed after observing her mother labor arduously on her amateurish paintings, there is a white swan knickknack beside the ballerina’s bed. Its meaning is evident to the reader familiar with my other works on cinematic esoterica.

On podcasts and radio shows, I often talk about occult casting: the use of actors and actresses to convey hidden meanings, transferring iconography, themes, and tropes by bringing their cinematic baggage from an earlier film (or films) into their most recent project, creating a pop culture valence. Recently, I have just discovered the granddaddy of them all, but I should have picked up on it earlier. It has often been hypothesized–and I have analyzed it in my other movie books–that Stanley Kubrick (1928-1999) filmed the ’69 moon landing in a studio, a secret he reveals subtly in his haunted hotel repetitive masterpiece, The Shining (1980). The theory goes that NASA and other federal agencies, namely the CIA and FBI, were familiar with Kubrick’s work, specifically Dr. Strangelove (1964) and 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968). They were so impressed with Kubrick’s expert moviemaking techniques that they hired him to stage the astronauts jumping around on the moon, planting the American flag, lumbering here and there, taking “surface” samples, etcetera.

But The Shining is not the first film to imply the Apollo 11 footage was filmed in a soundstage designated RYBAT.[2] In the James Bond movie Diamonds are Forever (1971), 007 (Sean Connery, 1930-2020) breaks into a cloak-and-dagger government installation in the Nevada desert reminiscent of Area 51. Here, he stumbles into a film studio with men in spacesuits hopping about on a fake moon, where the British spy escapes his pursuers in a phony lunar vehicle. Accordingly, wouldn’t it stand to reason that Kubrick would reference the fictional MI6 agent in The Shining to imply with a wink and a nod that he had filmed the Apollo 11 footage? The answer to this question is an emphatic yes. In Kubrick’s horror movie, the winter caretaker position is offered to Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) by Stuart Ullman, portrayed by Barry Nelson (1917-2007). Make no mistake, Kubrick’s use of Nelson is deliberate because he–not Connery–was the first actor to portray James Bond. In 1954, on the CBS television show Climax (1954-1958), Nelson played 007 in a live-action broadcast of Casino Royale, the first of Ian Fleming’s (1908-1964) spy novels published a year earlier in 1953. By utilizing Barry Nelson, the original MI6 secret agent, Kubrick is linking (both consciously and subconsciously) The Shining to James Bond, pointedly Diamonds are Forever, insinuating ever so cleverly that he filmed the footage depicting the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing.[3]

The Witch (2015), a Luciferian masterpiece scrutinized in Cinema Symbolism 3, was rewatched by this author during the summer of ’22. During this viewing, something jumped off my flat-screen television I hadn’t observed before. William’s (Ralph Ineson), the pride-infected father of the doomed family, ceaseless wood splitting hearkens back to The Amityville Horror (1979), wherein the hapless patriarch, George Lutz (James Brolin), also incessantly chops firewood. Whether the impetus is conscious or subconscious, Robert Eggers, The Witch’s director, uses woodcutting as an occult mnemonic, transferring the evil lurking inside 112 Ocean Avenue to the Puritan family’s seventeenth-century homestead where the satanic Black Phillip is king (because “♫ a crown grows out his head [and] to a nanny queen is wed ♫”). It’s potent stuff.  

Also left out of my last book was the origins of Twin Peaks’ (1990-2017) Dweller on the Threshold and blue rose, the former a term lifted by David Lynch from the neo-Gnostic world of Madame Helena Blavatsky’s (1831-1891) Theosophy Society. The Russian mystic defined it as “certain maleficent astral doubles of defunct persons,” hence the entities inhabiting the Black Lodge representing the person’s shadow self and the unresolved issues at the time of their demise.[4] A blue rose symbolizes the impossible; in Twin Peaks, the FBI’s Blue Rose cases document the unexplainable, often emerging from the Black Lodge, becoming the forerunners of investigations designated X-Files.[5] Absent from Cinema Symbolism 2 (2017) was a circuitous allusion to The Wizard of Oz (novel 1900, MGM film 1939), found in Lost Highway (1997) because a mystical freeway conjures the Yellow Brick Road; as expected, its director, David Lynch, is obsessed with all-things Oz, routinely planting references to it in his eccentric-dualistic work. The surrealist neo-noir Lost Highway is the final film of Richard Pryor (1940-2005), the Wiz himself, that is Oz’s Wizard, portrayed by the Freemason and comedian in The Wiz (October 24th, 1978), a blaxploitation pastiche released 39 years after Victor Fleming’s (1889-1949) doomed masterpiece, conjuring the wicked Curse of 39–more on this shortly. Pryor’s cameo in Lynch’s strange film evokes Emerald City (the WTC in The Wiz), the domain of the Wonderful Wizard, or the Wiz, and naturally, The Wizard of Oz, a movie and its imagery hit with a vicious Native American Indian death curse, somehow merging with the Qabala of English ceremonial magician, Thelemite religion founder, and Freemason, Aleister Crowley (1875-1947), his gematria identifies the film’s digits, 77 and 42, the former is OZ or the Goat of Mendes, the Æon of Horus’ destructive godhead, and the latter is the Beast’s Great Number of the Curse, the killing numeral or the fatal headshot, what Master Therion baptized the Dark Mother,[6] her demoniacal essence saturates rainbows because they can only be observed at an angle of 42 degrees. Ergo, The Wizard of Oz’s signature tune is a musical death sentence, and its lyrics a malediction, the polychromatic arc becoming the Aquarian Age’s premier satanic emblem leading not to a pot of gold but straight to Gehenna. A warning to the reader: this curse is still active, what this author refers to as the OZ-Rainbow jinx (I can think of nothing else to call it), and after years of research, I believe I have uncovered how this curse was generated (see Introduction). And speaking of Crowley, I should also point out that Twin Peaks’ White and Black Lodges immediately recalls the Beast’s Moonchild (1917), but they predate the novel (which I don’t think I covered in CS3), having their origin in Blavatsky’s Theosophy movement, with the former a group of perfected beings, known as Ascended Masters, or the Great White Brotherhood, who spread spiritual and occult teachings through selected humans, including but not limited to Crowley, Helena Roerich (1879-1955), Alice Bailey (1880-1949), Elizabeth Clare Prophet (1939-2009), and Benjamin Creme (1922-2016). The Black Lodge, or the Brothers of the Shadow, is a term given in occultism to individuals, men and women, who follow the Path of the Darkness, i.e., the Left-hand Path. They are black magicians, standing in sharp and notable contrast with the white magicians, who follow the pathway of self-renunciation, self-sacrifice, self-conquest, perfect self-control, and an expansion of the heart, mind, and consciousness in love and service for all that lives. On the other end of the spectrum is the existence and aims of the Brothers of the Shadow, which are essentially selfish. It is commonly, but erroneously, supposed that the Shadow Brotherhood are people with unpleasant dispositions and displeasing personal appearance, a mistake because the men are urbane and the women are intelligent and voluptuous, making them deceptive yet intriguing Angels of Light, disciples of Lucifer the Light-Bearer.[7]

“So shall we burn thee once again this night, and with the flames that eat thine effigy, we shall read the sign: midsummer sets us free!”[8] If this book’s reader is familiar with Cinema Symbolism 3, then they should know Midsommar (2019) is a morbid retelling of The Wizard of Oz, released in theaters eighty years later, ushering Oz’s hoodoo into the 21st century because in Master Therion’s qabalistic system, 80 is a ruinous numeral, the value of the Hebrew letter peh פ, assigned to the Tarot’s lightning-struck Tower (XVI) typifying destructive transformation, passed on from one film to the other.[9] The conspicuous airplane turbulence in the former is a throwback to the tornado in the latter: just as a violent twister whisks Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland, 1922-1969) to a magical yet foreboding land where she has a Gnostic epiphany, a bumpy flight speeds Dani Ardor (Florence Pugh) to a beautiful yet saturnine landscape where she comes to know herself by liberating her dark side, joining the Hårga solar death cult accordingly. “Hail fellowship’s eternal flame! Once again, midsummer sets us free!”[10] Easter egg: Midsommar patently imitates The Wizard of Oz, but few realize the latter is a loose remake of Tod Browning’s (1880-1962) Freaks (1932) only with a backward-ass twist; what a triple feature at the midnight picture show this would be! Before World War II (1939-1945), nearly every carnival and circus had a collection of human monsters or freaks–persons deformed at birth, retarded, or maimed–who were proudly exhibited to the public for a price. Browning assembled the most famous of these performers and employed them in an intriguing story set in a circus. In its narrative, a voluptuous yet evil aerialist named Cleopatra (Olga Baclanova, 1893-1974) learns one of the midgets, the Germanic Hans (Harry Earles, 1902-1985), has inherited a fortune. She contrives to marry the dwarf and murder him for the money. In one of many memorable scenes, surrealistic in quality, the midget’s fellow performers, unaware of the trapezist’s intentions, organize a wedding celebration during which they offer a macabre toast to her and an honorary position amongst them with the orgiastic chant of, “♫ We accept her / we accept her / gooble gobble / gooble gobble / one of us / one of us ♫.” Later, Hans and his buddies discover the poison attempt, and, in a hair-raising climax, the freaks attack Cleopatra and deform her badly, turning her into a human chicken. The maiming segment in Freaks’ epilogue is considered the most horrible scene in movie history. Contrarily, in Fleming’s neo-Gnostic/kabalistic movie of good and wicked witches and a fraudulent wizard, the musical munchkin midget-freaks accept the perfect outsider, the farmgirl Dorothy, but do not harm her, unlike the screwy Hårga sun cult, who mangle and murder Dani’s compatriots horribly while welcoming her to the fold with open arms. Freaks to Oz to Midsommar represents a significant flip-flop in pop culture genres, from grotesque horror to musical adventure and back to grotesque horror. When Dorothy accepted the leprechaun-like Munchkins and the misfit triad as allies, Judy Garland could have hardly known that life would imitate art. Her identification with quirky strangers, that is, the Munchkins, Scarecrow (Ray Bolger, 1904-1987), Tin Man (Jack Haley, 1897-1979), and Lion (Bert Lahr, 1896-1967), the latter more a soft-core “dandelion” than a ferocious animal, was magnetic. “♫ It’s Raining Men ♫”: for the rest of her wretched life, Garland’s core audience was a stigmatized social subclass: homosexual hombres who, above all else, understood the suffering warble in her invincible singing voice. Five days after her death on June 22nd, 1969, New York City’s Stonewall Riots, started by shape-shifting genderqueer drag-queen freaks, broke out around the witching hour on June 27th-28th, ’69, beginning the gay liberation movement.[11] The LGBT+ community would adopt the symbol from Garland’s most famous song, “♫ Over the Rainbow ♫” (1939), as a macabre emblem of their pride, unconsciously (or, perhaps consciously) marking them as the Prince of Darkness’ disciples, agents of the Abyss.[12] What sort of fruity yet devilish magic is this?

Then there is the solar tapestry woven around Elvis Presley’s (1935-1977) life that I analyzed in my last movie book. I thought I had nailed everything, only to recently learn the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll purchased Graceland in mid-March ’57, a few days before the vernal equinox when daylight and warmth overcome darkness; thus, Elvis’ heliacal career was on its way, symbolized by his opulent estate. He married Priscilla (née Wagner) on May 1st, 1967. Beltane is midway between the vernal equinox and the summer solstice when daylight triumphs; ergo, it’s only appropriate for the Apollonian musical messiah to take a wife that day. Elvis’ daughter, Lisa Marie (1968-2023), was born on Imbolc, February 1st, 1968, halfway between the winter solstice and the vernal equinox when light continues to gain strength.

On top of that, the sun king’s manager, Col. Tom Parker (1909-1997), was born on June 26th, two days after midsummer when the life-giving orb is at its apex in the northern hemisphere. Thanks to him, Elvis famously began performing at the International Hotel in Las Vegas on Lammas Eve, 1969, midway between the summer solstice and the vernal equinox, signifying the forthcoming harvest while honoring the weakening sun. As such, Elvis would entertain audiences at the renowned venue up to the year he perished. Furthermore, the King met with the leader of the free world, the thirty-seventh President of the United States, Richard Milhous Nixon (1913-1994), on December 21st, 1970, the day before midwinter when the sun is annually renewed or born again, signifying his pop culture transcendence. But what about Elvis’ death? Did it have an occult meaning? Was it connected to Native American Indians, cursing L. Frank Baum because his comments after the Battle of Wounded Knee (1890–see Introduction), and linked to Aleister Crowley via his qabalistic system? Did it signal an astrological change over: the end of the Age of Pisces and the start of Aquarius based on the Precession of the Equinoxes? To the reader of this book: buckle your seatbelt because we are going for a ride down the rabbit hole. Robert W. Sullivan IV will now reveal new yet disturbing information never before presented in any book, radio show, or podcast.

The sun’s number is 666 (Elvis often recorded songs using an Electro-Voice 666 microphone),[13] the same numeral that English ceremonial magickian Aleister Crowley claimed for himself, understanding the Beast to the Lion because Leo was his rising sign (the house of the sun) on which BABALON should ride.[14] In 1904, Crowley, through his guardian angel Aiwass, prophesied the Æon of Horus, named after the Egyptian sun god, synonymous with the Thelemic-Luciferian Aquarian Age that we are well into as of the writing of this book in 2023. Master Therion indicates the lord of this new Thelemic era, viz., the worship of the sun in the house of the Water-Bearer, its macabre spiritual vibe coming from its ruling planets, deathly Saturn and authoritarian Uranus, is Ra-Hoor-Khuit, a god of war and vengeance (AL III:3), the Crowned and Conquering Child, the dynamic aspect of Heru-ra-ha (Horus sun-flesh), the Lord of the New Age. He is:

…the offspring of Nuith, the star goddess, who is the category of unlimited possibility; her mate is Hadit, the ubiquitous point-of-view, the only philosophically tenable conception of Reality. He is represented by a globe of fire, representing eternal energy; winged, to show his power of Going. As a result of the marriage of these two, the child Horus is born. He is, however, known under his special name, Heru-ra-ha. A double god; his extraverted form is Ra-hoor-khuit; and his passive or introverted form Hoor-pa-kraat… He is also solar in character, and is therefore shown coming forth in golden light.[15]

The magic word of the Æon of Horus, or the reward of Ra-Hoor-Khuit, is the 11-letter Abrahadabra, with A appearing five times and with six diverse other letters, interlocking the pentagram and hexagram, having the value of 418 in Crowley’s qabalistic gematria. However, Horus qua Heru-ra-ha/Ra-Hoor-Khuit full grown, viz. the sun having established itself in Aquarius, beyond its cusp of Pisces, is the androgynous Baphomet,[16] haunting mythology as Robin Goodfellow, Pan, Puck, Cernunnos, the Green Man, and even Medusa, but better known as the Goat of the Sabbath, the Saturnian bleating Goat, the Knights Templar’s dualistic deity, the Goat of Mendes, and the great magical agent (i.e., Astral Light) analyzed and illustrated by Éliphas Lévi (1810-1875), the renowned 19th-century French occultist whom Crowley claimed to be reincarnated, having been born nineteen weeks and a day after Lévi’s death. Here on the third rock from the sun, Chaos qua Hadit (male) and the Scarlet Woman qua Nuit called BABALON (seven letters) could birth a moon or magickal child, the solar orb made flesh, procreated to topple the false god and the deities of ages past, produced by a complex sex magick operation, generating coincidentia oppositorum (Sol and Luna combined), discussed in Frater Perdurabo’s magnum opus Magick, Liber ABA, Book 4 (1912-1913, aka Magick in Theory and Practice, 1929). In The Book of the Law (dictated by Crowley’s Holy Guardian Angel, Aiwass, in 1904), the holy book of both the O.T.O., Ordo Templi Orientis, Order of the Temple of the East, Crowley’s Thelemic sex magick cult, and the Argenteum Astrum, known as the A:. A:., Silver Star, Master Therion’s secret society, he states this godlike child would embody the Æon of Horus’ gloomy ethos, i.e., the Goat’s infernal essence, and be “mightier than all the kings of the earth” (AL III:45).

“And then her voice rises to a shriek, and there is a cauldron boiling in front of her; and the flames under the cauldron are like unto zinc flames, and in the cauldron is the Rose, the Rose of 49 petals, seething in it. Over the cauldron she has arched her rainbow wings; and her face is bent over the cauldron, and she is blowing opalescent silvery rings on to the Rose; and each ring as it touches the water bursts into flame, and the Rose takes new colours.”[17] Numeric reduction, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are essential to understanding antiquity’s occult secrets. Per the Beast’s Qabala analyzed in his grimoire 777, published in 1909, a complicated work explaining the waxing Age of Horus/Aquarius, seven is a most evil number, the Goat of Mendes’ diabolical number is 77, and 777 is 77 on steroids thus exceedingly Mephistophelian. On the rare occasion when 7777 manifests, it is exceptionally vicious, sardonic, and evil. By releasing the spellbook 9 years after Baum’s The Wizard of Oz was published and 30 years before its cinematic version it to the big screen, Master Therion conjured the Curse of 39 (3 x 13; 3:13 is the length of Elton John’s song “♫ Goodbye Yellow Brick Road ♫,” 1973, more on this shortly), triakontenneaphobia; in the Middle East, the digit signifies a scandalous hex, further jinxing Oz, zeroing in on its lead actress, the doomed Judy Garland, attacking “The King of Pop” Michael Jackson (1958-2009) years later. In his book of magic, the Beast explains 777 is “…the demon world… the Unity of the Qliphoth [the Kabbalah’s evil forces marshaled] … [it is] a dangerous tool … as it represents the flaming sword that drove Man out of Eden. A burnt child dreads the fire. ‘The devils also believe, and tremble.’ [It] is the grand scale of 7.”[18] Crowley designates 77 as Baphomet’s number because the Hebrew letters ayin ע and zayin ז have the numeric value of 77 in gematria (the system of assigning numbers to letters); ayin is 70, and zayin is 7 (70 + 7 = 77), עז pronounced OZ, meaning he- or she-goat, epitomizing Capricornus, with Mars exalted therein, and the Devil of the Tarot.[19] Although seven has many numinous qualities,[20] in the world of the occult and black magic, it is considered a dark, mysterious, obscure, and hidden number.[21] This is especially true in the Æon of Horus; as such, when one detects the numbers seven, 77, 777 (their multiples are fair game for this killing curse), or OZ (conjuring the Ruby Slippers, jinxed because they are crimson, the color of blood, and the rainbow, even Emerald City and The Yellow Brick Road are fucked) either overtly or covertly, one observes the Dark Mother backing the play of the Goat of Mendes, together they spread the dreaded OZ-Rainbow death hex, letting us know their diablerie is with us as the sun takes up residence in Aquarius for the next 2000 years. Baphomet loves the limelight because 77, for the most part, is out in the open for all eyes to see. Easter egg: it should come as no surprise that Baphomet was Aleister Crowley’s motto in the O.T.O.;[22] furthermore, it is only par for the course that Ozzy Osbourne recorded the song “♫ Mr. Crowley ♫” (1980) and, years later, was present in NYC on 9/11/01, remarking the terrorist attack “excited” him because it was “his kind of craziness.”[23]

“It is the figure of the Magus of the Taro; and in his right arm the torch of the flames blazing upwards; in his left the cup of poison, a cataract into Hell. And upon his head the evil talisman, blasphemy and blasphemy and blasphemy, in the form of a circle. That is the greatest blasphemy of all, i.e., that the circle should be thus profaned. This evil circle is of three concentric rings. On his feet hath he the scythes and swords and sickles; daggers; knives; every sharp thing,—a millionfold, and all in one. And before him is the Table that is a Table of wickedness, the 42-fold Table. This Table is connected with the 42 Assessors of the Dead, for they are the Accursers, whom the soul must baffle; and with the 42-fold name of God [i.e., the Gnostic Demiurge, see Genesis 42 wherein the Creator exploits the evil that men do], for this is the Mystery of Iniquity, that there was ever a beginning at all. And this Magus casteth forth, by the might of his four weapons, veil after veil; a thousand shining colours, ripping and tearing the Æthyr, so that it is like jagged saws, or like broken teeth in the face of a young girl, or like disruption, or madness. There is a horrible grinding sound, maddening. This is the mill in which the Universal Substance, which is ether, was ground down into matter.”[24] This is 42, the Dark Mother of terror and destruction; her number is the grand killing curse because she associates with the mighty devil Choronzon, Mr. 333, the destroyer of the ego, the black fire of hatred, who cried aloud, “Zazas, Zazas, Nasatanada Zasas.”[25] Her evil symbol is the seven-color arch, and she is the diabolical force behind 77, OZ, or the Goat of the Sabbath; we know this because The Wizard of Oz’s most celebrated song, “♫ Over the Rainbow ♫,” has a value of 77 in base gematria using Pythagorean reverse reduction.[26] The main difference between her and Baphomet is that she likes to conceal herself in a deathly penumbra because her numeral is often tricky to find, usually turning up in some obscure way. I will now make sense of these vicissitudes, bringing order from chaos.

Back to the original question: was Elvis Presley claimed by the Goat of Mendes and the Dark Mother or, perhaps, supernatural forces working at their disposal, making his demise a sacrifice to usher in the Baphometic Age? OZ, the Goat of Mendes is on the prowl, leaving its numbers behind like a calling card, macabre fingerprints, as it promulgates the deadly OZ-Rainbow curse with the Dark Mother lurking in the shadows like a sniper on the grassy knoll: the beautiful and darkly intriguing Elizabeth “the Black Dahlia” Short (1924-1927), Hollywood’s most famous unsolved murder, was severed in twain between January 14th-15th, 1947, the cleaved body dumped in Los Angeles’ Leimert Park, the deathly timeframe having a sum of 77 utilizing Pythagorean reduction, implying the cloven-hoofed killer was once worshipped by the Order of Solomon’s Temple.[28] Dying aged 22, her body cut into two pieces at the waist, suggests black magic, her grisly killing evoked Crowley’s accursed dyad, viz. a pair, fatal finality because duality introduces the lethal alternative to unity and good, namely evil; two is a number of mourning and death, and misfortunes are apt to follow; for example, turn to the history of England and see the unhappiness of Kings numbered the second: William II (1060-1100), Edward II (1284-1327), and Richard II (1367-1400) of England were all murdered.[29] Regarding Miss Short, the Dark Mother can found hiding at the memorial marker dedicated to the Black Dahlia in Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, where she grew up. Its global coordinates are 42° 25’ 10.0” N, 71° 06’ 08.6” W; specifically, it is located the intersection of Salem Street and Interstate 93 (forthcoming), a number critical in the Age of Horus.[30] Easter egg: the dyad envelopes Oz’s Judy Garland, born in ’22, dying on the 22nd of June, putting the final stamp on her miserable life. Another Easter egg: the Black Dahlia used to hang out at the Cecil Hotel’s bar; I direct the reader to this author’s Cinema Symbolism 3 for more on its bleak history.

The Dark Mother had it in for the Scarlet Pimpernel, the time-traveling enthusiast Leslie Howard (1893-1943), who starred as a violin virtuoso in Intermezzo, a film with a runtime of 70 minutes. Howard’s violin playing was dubbed by Toscha Seidel (1899-1962), one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century; his powerful and beautiful Stradivarius violin, nicknamed “da Vinci, ex-Seidel,” was used by him to record The Wizard of Oz’s “Over the Rainbow,” linking Howard to 42; Intermezzo was released on September 22nd, 1939, a mere 28 days (7 x 4) after Oz’s theatrical debut. The Goat of the Sabbath stamped Howard’s passport when he perished when the Luftwaffe shot down BOAC Flight 777 Ibis over the Atlantic, off the coast of Cedeira, Spain, on which he was a passenger, the Hollywood megastar gone with the wind like the Age of Pisces.

The doomed Norma Jeane Mortenson (1926-1962) was a sexy stimulant for this curse because her birthdate of June 1st, 1926, has a reverse ordinal value of 77, and her stage name, Marilyn Monroe, has a value of 73 employing Pythagorean reduction.[31] In Master Therion’s Aquarian Age system of Qabala, 73 personifies the glamorous lunar goddess, an initiator or Firestarter, marking her as the death hex’s mercury, one of its perpetuating kinetic agents.[32] For it was in Some Like It Hot, a movie that grossed 49 (7²) million at the box office, that she portrayed Sugar Kowalczyk, a name having a Pythagorean reduced value of 77,[33] featuring actor-comedian Joe E. Brown (1891-1973) in the role of Osgood Fielding III, the ill-omened name OZgood invoking the Goat of Mendes, having a tally of 93 using reverse Pythagorean reduction designating Crowley’s mantra for the new age (forthcoming), intensifying its spite.[34] But Hot’s central filming location, the Hotel del Coronado across the bay from San Deigo, was Monroe’s death sentence, allowing the hex to fester and metastasize, killing a down-and-out Marilyn at age 36, spreading like a virus thereafter. Everyone remembers Marilyn qua Sugar “Kane” frolicking at the hotel’s beach in the flick, a resort L. Frank Baum resided for months at a time in the early 20th century, writing three of his Oz books there during that time: Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz (1908), The Road to Oz (1909), and The Emerald City (1910), and even designed the chandeliers in the famous Crown Room. The hotel, with its fanciful red roofs, magical spires, and whimsical design, The Del is as close to the Emerald City as you can ever get in real life; thus, someone with a birthday having a value of 77, playing a character in a movie with the sum of 77, featuring another persona named OZgood, should keep away, avoiding the place like the Black Death. Baum writing and fusing his Oz stories with the Hotel del Coronado was also bad news because OZ qua the Goat of Mendes would employ the resort’s name as a deadly illness over a century later: the coronavirus. Some Like It Hot was theatrically released on March 29th, 1959; 42 years later, the Dark Mother attacked on September 11th, 2001. In a 2012 poll conducted by Sight & Sound, a monthly magazine published by the British Film Institute, critics ranked Some Like It Hot the 42nd greatest film of all time. Know, dear reader, that this death curse is clever and bloodthirsty because Leslie Howard and Marilyn Monroe were not the only Hollywood celebrities to fall victim to it as director Stanley Kubrick, the moonwalking Michael Jackson, NBA superstar Kobe Bryant (1978-2020), Carrie Fisher (1956-2016), singer and actress Aaliyah (1979-2001), and Oscar-winner Robin Williams (1951-2014) would also bite the dust, Kubrick going under the rainbow, Jackson portraying the Scarecrow in The Wiz, the NBA legend obsessed with the numbers 77 and 42, the contemporary R&B, pop, and hip-hop artist masquerading as a sinister matriarch, offending the genuine Dark Mother mightily, and pissing off Baphomet, and the Ruby Slippers plaguing both Mork from Ork and Princess Leia (forthcoming). Easter egg: the most popular threnody honoring Marilyn Monroe is Elton John’s “Candle in the Wind,” the second track on his Goodbye Yellow Brick Road LP (more on this in Chapter I), whisking her spirit to the Magickal Land of OZ.

Born to Raise Hell: the bleating Goat and the Dark Mother shadowed criminal and mass murderer Richard Speck (1941-1991), who fled Texas in March 1966 after a burglary; had he been arrested, it would have been his 42nd arrest in Dallas and would have resulted in another prison term. On March 9th, 1966, Speck’s sister Carolyn drove him to the Dallas bus depot, where he took one to Chicago, Illinois, where Baum wrote The Wizard of Oz years earlier. Next, on July 13th, 1966, a date with a value of 49 (7²) using Pythagorean reduction,[35] Speck began his killing spree, attracted to the nurses because he had seen–or believed he had seen–one of them wearing a yellow dress, symbolizing Oz’s Yellow Brick Road, invading their townhouse at 2319 East 100th Street, turning it the hue of Dorothy’s scarlet slippers, slaughtering eight caregivers, the bloodbath ending on in the early morning hours of July (7th month) 14th; seven, 14 = 7 doubled, for 777. Afterward, he fled to the Reigh Hotel located at 648 North Dearborn, the address having a reverse ordinal sum of 847 (77 x 11),[36] staying in room 806, 8 + 0 + 6 = 14 = 7 doubled or 77. Speck then went to the Starr Hotel, which has a reverse ordinal value of 182,[37] 182 = 7 x 26, where he was eventually apprehended. Convicted of all eight murders on April 15th, 1967, a date that has a sum of 77 utilizing Pythagorean reduction,[38] 25-year-old Richard Speck (2 + 5 = 7) was sentenced to death, but it was reduced to 400–1,200 years in 1972 and later reduced to 100–300 years. He served his time at Stateville Correctional Center near Chicago, quartered in its infamous F House, nicknamed “the roundhouse,” the maximum-security wing was featured in the 1948 movie Call Northside 777. Speck died of a heart attack on the eve of his 50th birthday at age 49 or 7².

The 1984 San Ysidro McDonald’s massacre outside San Deigo saw James Huberty (1942-1984) drive his black Mercury Marquis sedan into the fast-food restaurant’s parking lot since mercury, or quicksilver, is alchemy’s annihilating ingredient, its omnipotent Red Dragon. He murdered 21 people and wound 19 others before a police sniper killed him a few months before his 42nd birthday, sending his soul to the Dark Mother. But his orgy of death lasted a whopping 77 minutes after he first opened fire, implying Baphomet’s spirit protected the demented gunman. At the time, the massacre was the most fatal mass shooting by a lone gunman in U.S. history, surpassed seven years later by the Luby’s shooting in Killen, Texas, yet remaining the deadliest mass shooting in the Golden State’s history. Decades later, the Goat of Mendes sheltered Salvador Ramos (2004-2022) at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, allowing him to kill 19 people and wound 17 others (19 + 17 = 36) on May 24th, 2022, a date with a sum of 42 using Pythagorean reduction,[39] because the police did not move against the shooter for 77 minutes, the same response time in San Ysidro. One of the police officers assigned to the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District–which patrolled Robb Elementary–was Ruby Gonzales, her forename conjuring the Ruby Slippers, allowing blood to be spilled; according to Crowley, 36 is Hermes’ qua mercury’s number,[40] the critical ingredient in alchemy necessary for transmutation or, in this instance, a changeover from Pisces to Aquarius. Easter egg: at the time of his death, Queen’s frontman, the androgynous Freddie Mercury (1946-1991), had a net worth of £36,000,000, syncing with Master Therion’s Qabala.[41] Baphomet tinkered with the Space Shuttle Challenger’s O-ring seal on the frigid morn of January 28th (7 x 4), 1986, because the vehicle exploded approximately 77 seconds after takeoff, killing all seven astronauts for 777. The Dark Mother played her part in the tragedy: after Rockwell completed the Challenger’s airframe, it was delivered to Lockheed Plant 42 for structural testing on February 4th, 1978, a date with a sum of 77 employing reverse Pythagorean reduction.[42]

On January 25th, 1990, Baphomet siphoned jet fuel from Avianca Flight 52 (5 + 2 = 7), a Boeing 707 on service from Bogota, Colombia, as it approached New York City’s JFK International Airport, awaiting landing clearance, crashing because it was flying on fumes, its tanks dry as a martini, remaining in a protracted holding pattern for 77 minutes, finally beginning its descent 42 minutes past 7 p.m. The Goat of Mendes was playing with matches on April 19th, 1993, when it set fire to the Branch Davidian’s Mount Carmel Center, situated on a 77-acre ranch in Waco, Texas, the four-letter town having an ordinal value of 42,[43] the siege killing 86 in total, a number Crowley writes is synonymous with mischief, and the commencement of the Great Work.[44] Cutting through Waco is Route 77; heading north, it passes through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, turning Camelot into the magickal land of OZ (more on this later), and Oklahoma City before it ends in Sioux City, Iowa. A stone’s throw off Route 77 in OKC once stood the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, constructed in ’77 with nine stories, blown to smithereens on April 19th, 1995 at 9:02 a.m.; 9 + 2 = 11, and with its 9 floors produces 9/11, creepily anticipating another terrorist strike 77 months later because the Goat prefers to operate on seven-based cycles (and sometimes forty-two-rooted sequences). More uniquely, the Murrah Building opened on March 2nd, 1977, to be destroyed on April 19th, 1995, 6,622 days later, 6622 = 77 x 86, and 8 + 6 = 14 = 7 doubled or 77, giving us 777. Even more strange, 77 is the value of the Oklahoma City Bombing’s date using Pythagorean reverse reduction, going over the rainbow, turning the Big Friendly into OZ, making it obvious Baphomet was John Doe No. 2, conspiring with Timothy McVeigh (1968-2001) and Terry Nichols to explode the federal complex at 200 N.W. 5th Street; 2 + 0 + 0 + 5 = 7.[45] How do we know this? The ANFO industrial bomb used to take out the edifice contained aluminum powder (traces were found in Nichols’ home), magnifying the device’s destructive energy by 77%; this is the same substance that was used for Buddy Epsen’s (1908-2003) makeup as the Tin Man. However, it got into his lungs, sending him to the hospital, bringing the actor to the edge of death, forcing the filmmakers to recast the role, replacing him with Jack Haley. Seeking retaliation for Waco and 1992’s siege at Ruby Ridge (evoking Dorothy’s magical slippers), McVeigh drove an explosive-laden Ryder rental truck along Route 77 to the target; after it was detonated, he fled the crime scene behind the wheel of an Easter yellow ’77 Ford Mercury Grand Marquis, only to be arrested 77 minutes later. “♫ And Kansas she says is the name of the star ♫” – Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, The Wizard of Oz. The vehicle’s hue conjures Oz’s Yellow Brick Road, and mercury is a destroying agent, a critical element qua archetype in deciphering the subconscious mind and decoding dreams, according to Swiss psychiatrist Carl G. Jung (1875-1961);[46] as such, McVeigh and Nichols planned the catastrophic bombing days beforehand at the Dreamland Hotel off Interstate 70 (7 + 0 = 7), Grandview Plaza, Kansas (there’s no place like home), in Room 25 (2 + 5 = 7), 77, summoning the Goat of Mendes. The Oklahoma City Bombing killed 168 people and wounded another 680 for a grand total of 848, which is 106 x 8; per Master Therion’s Qabala, 8 denotes instability, and 106 is death; the former number signifies the chaotic birthing pains of the new age, its turmoil,[47] and the latter flirts with Christ, the two astrological fishes, heralding the Piscean Age’s termination (more on the Precession of the Equinoxes in the Introduction and Chapter I).[48] McVeigh’s accomplice, Terry Nichols, stole a cache of 77 guns from a man named Roger E. Moore in 1994, selling them to help finance the terrorist attack, making the Goat smile; Nichols was born on April 1st, 1955, having an ordinal value of 77.[49]

Ergo, as with 9/11/01, the people that perished that morning in OKC were burnt offerings welcoming the Age of Horus, sacrifices to the Goat of the Sabbath because it has an insatiable appetite for immolated human flesh, guzzling plasma like Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day-Lewis) drinks milkshakes in There Will Be Blood (2007). The Dark Mother was there, hiding in the shadows as she always does, her number appearing twice. First, as the chiller water’s temperature for the building’s entire air conditioning system, the blast severed an eight-inch pressured pipe, pouring 42 °F water into the Social Security Administration, possibly drowning trapped employees; fortunately, the fire department arrived and shut off the water before anyone went under the rising tide.[50] Second, as the address of the Disaster Field Office where state and federal efforts were unified, located at 420 W. Main Street, giving her a front-row seat, allowing her laugh at the devastation wrought. After it was all over, the Oklahoma Department of Civil Emergency Management released a 77-page investigative report on the terror incident, indicating that as a result of the blast, 77 people were treated at hospitals for lacerations, abrasions, and contusions, and 77 victims were identified by their dental records or fingerprints. Years later, in 2019, Baphomet fucked over McVeigh’s attorney, Dennis Hartley, once considered one of the most powerful attorneys in Colorado, having him disbarred for professional malfeasance at age 77. Easter egg: La Madre Oscura, imitating the Saturnalian bleating Goat, likes to ambush now and then on twoscore and two-based series, i.e., the timespan between Some Like It Hot’s theatrical release and 9/11 (vide supra), but also loves to attack in septenary sequences; 49 (7²) months after the OKC bombing, on May 3rd, 1999, a date that has a value of 42 using Pythagorean reverse reduction,[51] an EF5 tornado tore through the Oklahoma City metro area, like the one in The Wizard of Oz, killing 42 people.

On Christmas morning 1996, the Goat of Mendes murdered child beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey (1990-1996), her name having a value of 77 using reverse Pythagorean reduction, and her birthday, August 6th, 1990, is how the Dark Mother struck, having the unfortunate tally of 42 applying Pythagorean reduction.[52] The Ramsey murder house’s address is 749 E. 15th Street: 7, and 49 is 7² for 777. Seventy-seven is the sum of April 20th, 1999’s Columbine High School massacre employing Pythagorean reduction, indicating Baphomet’s ghoulish spiritus was alongside Dylan Klebold (1981-1999) and Eric Harris (1981-1999), killing their fellow students (and a teacher) to usher in the Æon of Horus, furthering the Great Work.[53] Each shooter carried two firearms, conjuring the dyad: Klebold was armed with a Stevens 12-gauge double-barrel shotgun and a TEC-9, while Harris toted a Savage–Springfield 12-gauge pump shotgun and a Hi-Point 9-mm carbine rifle, four guns, the number of the evil magician’s weapons. Their bloodthirsty rampage began at 11:19 a.m., ending at 12:08 p.m., lasting 49 minutes or 7², killing 13 people. Klebold peeled off 12 shotgun rounds and 55 9-mm rounds, while Harries fired 25 shotgun shells and 96 9-mm rounds; 1 + 2 + 5 + 5 + 2 + 5 + 9 + 6 = 35, or 7 x 5. Klebold’s black t-shirt had the word Wrath printed on it, which has an ordinal value of 70, 7 x 10, and Natural Selection was printed on Harris’, having an ordinal value of 189, 7 x 27.[54] The Dark Mother was with them, concealing herself in the date of the carnage: April 20th, the fourth month, and 20 is 2 + 0 = 2, for 42. It should come as no surprise their first victim was a devout Christian, Rachel Joy Scott (1981-1999); her demise likewise signaled the end of the Piscean Age. Crowley prophesied this: the name Rachel Joy Scott has a sum of 78 employing reverse Pythagorean reduction, the number of Tarot cards in a deck, which, according to Master Therion, means the account of Aiwass follows, viz. the Age of Horus is at hand.[55] Unfortunately for Miss Scott, one of the curse’s transmitters, the Ruby Slippers, also has a value of 78 using Pythagorean reduction, putting her in a pine box.[56] The Ruby Slippers also conceal themselves surreptitiously in the high school’s name, Columbine, alluding to the popular heirloom columbine the “Ruby Port,” known for its red blossoms, blooming in April, the month of the bloody massacre. Klebold and Harris were inspired to murder by watching the movie Natural Born Killers (they nicknamed their ambush NBK), released theatrically on August 26th, 1994, 55 years and a day after The Wizard of Oz opened in cinemas, which is 20,090 days, or 7 x 2870 or 70 x 287; 55 years and a day is also 2870 weeks, which is 7 x 410 or 70 x 41, calling forth the Goat of the Knights Templar. Utilizing Pythagorean reduction, Natural Born Killers also has a sum of 78,[57] syncing with Columbine’s first victim, the movie becoming her alpha and omega. Easter egg: Waco, Oklahoma City, and Columbine happened during the administration of William Jefferson Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, the Dark Mother’s number, letting us know of her involvement in these Baphometic wholesale slaughters.

Baphomet was behind the three-day Beslan school massacre: a terrorist attack that started at 9:11 a.m. on September 1st, 2004, at School No. 1 in Beslan, a town of about 35,000 people in the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania in Russia’s Caucasus. The siege involved the imprisonment of more than 1,100 people as hostages, including 777 children, ending with the deaths of 333 people, 186 of them children, and is considered the deadliest school shooting in history. It looks like the Goat of the Sabbath may have had an accomplice helping him with this one because, according to Crowley, the grand scale of three, 333, represents Choronzon, the Dweller in the Abyss: a vile demon of dispersion, a temporary personification of the raving and malignant forces occupying the infernal regions (vide supra).[58] Afterward, the North Ossetian Parliament prepared a 42-page report, examining the events in Beslan from 1st to 3rd September 2004. Four is the number of the evil magician’s weapons; as such, there were four Islamic terrorists behind the London bombings, suckling the Goat of Mendes’ teats on July 7th, 2005, because July 7th is 77 (all hail the Goat!), and 2 + 0 + 0 + 5 = 7, for 777, implying Baphomet was running amok on the city’s public transport system that morning, blowing up people left and right. Outside the jihadists, 52 United Kingdom residents were killed; 5 + 2 = 7, the Beast’s evilest digit. Members of the public who were unable to track down their friend, family member, or colleague needed access to a telephone line where they could register the person as missing and potentially involved and try to find out whether they had caught up in the terror attacks, so a hotline was established with the Metropolitan Police Service Casualty Bureau; when it became operational, there were 42,000 attempted calls in the first hour.[59] Later on, at a memorial service commemorating the 7/7 victims, held at St. Paul’s Cathedral on November 1st, 2005 (note the two dates: 777 and 1117), a lasting impression was left when seven-year-old Ruby Gray qua the Ruby Slippers presented Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) a bouquet, honoring her father Richard, who had perished 117 days earlier. Easter egg: the date November 1st, 2005, has a value of 49 or 7² using reverse Pythagorean reduction.[60]

Luckner “the Vampire of the Caribbean” Cambronne (1930-2006), former chief of the Tonton Macoute (est. 1959), Francois “Papa Doc” Duvalier’s (1907-1971) voodoo militia, died aged 77 years, crossing the River Styx with Baphomet as the ferryman; in The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988), Cambronne’s counterpart is Dargent Peytraud (Zakes Mokae, 1934-2009), a Haitian bokor possessing the occult secrets of zombie-making.

Bearing a Bonesman’s name, USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77), a Nimitz-class supercarrier of the United States Navy, was christened on October 7th, 2006, a date selected by Baphomet because it has an ordinal value of 93 in gematria.[61] Ninety-three is Aiwass’ numeral,[62] the number of the Aeon of Horus’ mantra using Greek isopsephy, i.e., Crowley’s Do what thou Wilt shall be the whole of the Law Thelemic axiom (see Chapter I), manifesting sixfold on September 11th, 2001, five years earlier, signifying Crowley’s unicursal hexagram, and its five-petalled flower, the pentagram. Baphomet visited the Virginia Tech campus on April 16th, 2007, in Blacksburg, Virginia, a thirty-minute drive off Interstate 77. That morning, the Goat steadied the aim of Seung-Hui Cho (1984-2007), enabling him to murder 32 people and wound 17 others with two-semiautomatic pistols; 32 + 17 = 49 or 7². Easter egg: heading north on I-77 into Ohio, near Cuyahoga Valley National Park, is the boyhood home of infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (1960-1994) right off the interstate.

On July 22nd, 2011 (7th month, with 22 and 11, Crowley’s ill-omened dyad), terrorist Anders Behring Breivik (aka Fjotolf Hansen) committed the deadliest attack in Norway since WWII, mass murdering 77 people, eight with a car bomb in Oslo, and 69 on Utøya, a small island in a lake 26 miles, or 42 kilometers, northwest of the capital, saluting Baphomet and the Dark Mother appropriately.Adam get your gun: a year later in December, Baphomet challenged Adam Peter Lanza (1992-2012) to beat Breivik’s high score of 77 fatalities, prompting him to go on a killing rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary School.[63] But the bug-eyed creep came up well short even though he squeezed off 154 rounds,[64] 154 = 77 x 2, 77 doubled or 7777, a devilishly sadistic scale, murdering 26 people and wounding two (26 + 2 = 28 = 7 x 4); Lanza was born to do this because his birthdate, April 22nd, 1992, has a sum of 77 employing Pythagorean reduction.[65] After the massacre, Sandy Hook Elementary School was razed, only to be rebuilt and reopened in July 2016, 42 months later. Easter egg: in 2022, eleven years after Breivik’s attack, 42-year-old Zaniar Matapour killed two people in an act of Islamic terrorism, targeting Oslo’s LGBTQ community, inspired by jihadist Arfan Qadeer Bhatti, the extremist born in ’77, both Muslims going over the rainbow to OZ.

Earlier that year, on July (7th month), 20th, 2012 (2 + 0 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 2 = 7, 77), the Goat of Mendes went to his favorite movie theater, the Century (seven letters) 16 (1 + 6 = 7, 77) in Aurora, Colorado to catch a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises. Do what thou Wilt shall be the whole of the Law: born on December 13th, 1987, James Egan Holmes was in attendance, and the crazed motherfucker did whatever he wanted that evening, killing 12 people and wounding 70 with four firearms (the evil magician’s number of weapons), the mayhem lasting seven minutes, because his birthdate, and the date of the mass shooting, both have ordinal values of 93 utilizing gematria.[66] On April 15th, 2013, a date with an ordinal value of 77,[67] Baphomet commanded the Brothers Tsarnaev to blow up the Boston Marathon, the 117th running of the race (11 x 7 = 77), with two pressure cooker bombs, exploding 14 seconds apart (7 + 7, 7 doubled for 77), killing three and wounding over 200 others. The first bomb was planted at Marathon Sports at 671–673 Boylston Street, the address having a value of 1400 utilizing Pythagorean reduction,[68] 7 x 200, the second at 755 Boylston Street, having a reverse ordinal sum of 924,[69] 924 = 77 x 12, and were set 210 yards apart, 7 x 30. Afterward, one of the bombers, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, hid on a boat called The Slipaway II, where he was captured; the water vessel’s name has a sum of 77 using reverse Pythagorean reduction.[70] The Dark Mother was there, doing her best to keep out of sight: the Boston Marathon is 26 miles long, or 42 kilometers (vide supra).

Departing from Seoul, South Korea, a couple months later, Asiana Airlines Flight 214 (2 + 1 + 4 = 7), a Boeing 777, registration HL7742 (see how she hides), captained by 49-year-old (7²) Lee Jeong-min, stalled and crashed on its final approach to Runway 28L (7 x 4) at San Francisco International Airport (the destination of 9/11’s Flight 93), on July 7th (7/7, Korean date), 2013, killing 3, and wounding 187, 49 (7²) of them seriously–when it comes to its number, Baphomet doesn’t mess around. Note to the reader: this author will not list all the Boeing 777s that have crashed or suffered major malfunctions over the years other than to say the number is abnormally high. However, here is one related to the aircraft: the Goat and the Dark Mother had it out for Princess Leia herself, actress and author Carrie Fisher, whose Hollywood mega-stardom was launched in ’77 with the release of Star Wars: A New Hope, her Star Wars career coming to a close when she played the lunar warrioress one last time in 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker released (posthumously) 42 years later. During her heyday, Fisher starred in Under the Rainbow (1981), a comedy about the making of The Wizard of Oz centering on the Munchkins’ hijinks at the Culver City Hotel; her mother, actress Debbie Reynolds (1932-2016), collected Tinseltown memorabilia, which included the Arabian-styled Ruby Slippers worn by Garland for test and wardrobe shots, stirring Baphomet and die Dunkle Mutter. In late December 2016, on her way home from London, Fisher began to have cardiac problems aboard United Flight 935, a Boeing 777, dying shortly afterward, followed by her mother the next day, sending both their spirits to a galaxy far, far away.

On June 17th, 2015, the Goat of Mendes helped Dylann Roof reload his Glock .45-caliber handgun when he lit up the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina, peeling off 77 rounds, no more, no less, killing 9, wounding 1. His full name, Dylann Storm Roof, has a reverse ordinal value of 196 in gematria; 196 = 7 x 28.[71] But the Dark Mother does not seem to be a fan: during his trial, a 42-page diary was discovered during a search of Roof’s cell in which he expressed no remorse, not regretting his murderous actions. Excerpts were read aloud by a Charleston County sheriff’s investigator for jurors, relatives, and friends of the 9 people who died in the shooting. As federal prosecutors introduced his writings as evidence, Roof stood and objected, but he was overruled by the judge, the journal certainly not helping his cause.

Almost a year later, on June 12th, 2016, Baphomet was in the 77th most-populous city (at the time) in the United States, Orlando, Florida, stopping by the gay nightclub Pulse for a Latin-themed dance party, but a jihadist named Omar Mateen (1986-2016) showed up and killed 49 (7²) revelers while wounding others. Many of the first officers who responded to the terrorist attack were among the 772 officers that the OPD had trained in individual first aid kit (IFAK) tactical medical solutions, sending the first wave of patients, consisting of 38 victims, to the Orlando Regional Medical Center 42 minutes after the shooting. Next, on October 1st, 2017, Baphomet attended the Route 91 Harvest country music festival in Las Vegas when sniper Steven Craig Paddock (1953-2017) opened fire from the 43-story (4 + 3 = 7) Mandalay Bay luxury hotel, covering 49 (7²) hectares, with a general inquiry phone number of 877-632-7700, killing and wounding nearly a 1000 concert-goers, but the Goat was unharmed, naturally. The Dark Mother is in Paradise, Nevada’s global coordinates: 36° 5’ 42” N, 115° 10’ 18” W. On February (2nd month), 14th (2 + 1 + 4 = 7), 2018 (2 + 0 + 1 + 8 = 11; 7 x 11 = 77), Baphomet returned to the Sunshine State, demanding 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz turn Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland into a shooting gallery, murdering 17 people and injuring 17(17 + 17 = 34, 3 + 4 = 7) others with a Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport II semi-automatic rifle; per Frater Perdurabo, 17 signifies violently hurled thunderbolts, i.e., gunfire.[72] In March 2019, the Goat of Mendes urged 28-year-old (7 x 4) Brenton Harrison Tarrant to smoke two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, killing 51 people and injuring 40 for a grand total of 91 victims, which is 7 x 13; according to Master Therion, 91 conjures the spiritual energies of the septenary (vide supra).[73] Al Noor Mosque was targeted first, where 42 Muslims died on the spot, appeasing la Madre Oscura, with another two eventually succumbing to their injuries, bringing the death total to 44, Horus’ number, the Egyptian god always accepting blood sacrifices (vide supra). From there, Tarrant went to the Linwood Islamic Centre at 223A Linwood (7 letters) Avenue (2 + 2 + 3 = 7), where he killed the final 7 of his 51 victims; the reduced address’ number, the avenue name, and the murder tally gives us 777. Tarrant was racially motivated, alluding to Sir Oswald Ernald Mosley, 6th Baronet (1896-1980), in his 74-page manifesto, a British politician during the 1920s and ’30s who rose to fame when, having become disillusioned with mainstream politics, turning to fascism. Sir OZwald was a member of parliament and later founded and led the British Union of Fascists (est. 1932). Easter egg: Marjory Stoneman Douglas also has a value of 91 employing Pythagorean reduction.[74]

In December 2019, enabled by the Some Like It Hot-Baum-Crown Room link to the Coronado Hotel, the Dark Mother and Baphomet’s supernatural essence stirred the shitstorm by releasing COVID-19 from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China; we know this because infections and deaths from the coronavirus were routinely reported coming in waves of 77, 154 (77 x 2), 231 (77 x 3), 308 (77 x 4), 385 (77 x 5), 462 (77 x 6), 539 (77 x 7), 616 (77 x 8), 693 (77 x 9), 770 (77 x 10), and 777 victims,[75] and so on (see footnote ??), increasing as the pandemic dragged on.[76] The virus gave license to the removal by the U.S. government of people who had recently been in a country where a communicable disease was present via Title 42.

Then, the Dark Mother and Baphomet masterminded two mass shootings: the first on February 26th, 2020, at the Molson Coors Brewing Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, when 51-year-old Anthony Ferrill pumped his coworkers full of lead, killing 5 before committing suicide; 777 days later, on April 12th, 2022, 62-year-old black nationalist, Frank Robert James, put on a gas mask, threw two smoke grenades then opened fire on the NYC subway’s N train, wounding 29. At the former incident, a Mãe Sombria hid in one of the shooter’s weapons: Ferrill was armed with two handguns, one with a silencer, allowing him to snipe, the quieting device legal in 42 states, including Wisconsin. At the latter shooting, James was taken into custody 42 minutes past 1:00 p.m. EST on the day of the attack. Seven-seven-seven aside, further linking these two deadly events is the city of Milwaukee, home to the brewery and Frank Robert James’ birthplace. His birthday, August 8th, 1959, has a value of 49 using Pythagorean reduction, 49 = 7², 7 x 7, or 77, the Bleating Saturnian Goat.[77] Easter egg: two of Anthony Ferrill’s victims, Trevor Wetselaar, and Jesus “Jesse” Valle Jr., were 33 years old, and Frank Robert James discharged his handgun 33 times, generating 333333, or 333 and 333, the number of Choronzon twice. Recently, on November 21st, 2021, Baphomet compelled Darrell E. Brooks Jr. to drive his Red Ford Escape SUV through the annual Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, killing and injuring people all over the place, leading him to face 77 criminal charges. Representing himself, his trial began on October 3rd, 2022, a date with a sum of 42 employing Pythagorean reduction.[78] On May 14th, 2022, Payton S. Gendron blasted the Tops Friendly Markets in Buffalo, New York, murdering ten and wounding three for a tally of 13, the same number of people Klebold and Harris murdered years earlier, evoking the Tarot’s 13th card: Death. Gendron, born on June 20th, 2003, is a disciple of Baphomet because 2003 was the year of the Goat in Chinese astrology, and the Tops supermarket’s global coordinates in Buffalo are 42° 54’ 35” N, 78° 51’ 10” W.

The androgynous Goat of Mendes pitches a tent when transgender weirdos go off the deep end and slaughter Christians, waving bye-bye to Pisces, wetting their whistles with a new-age Saturnian elixir from Aquarius’ jug. On March 27th, 2023, Baphomet had the back of 28-year-old (7 x 4) Audrey Elizabeth Hale/Aiden Hale (1995-2023) when she/he/it busted a cap in the ass of the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, with 42 staff members (la Mère Sombre shows herself) and over 200 students,[79] resulting in seven deaths (including the gunperson) while wounding 1, the tranny finally put down by police 14 minutes (7 doubled or 77) after the shooting was first reported to 9-1-1. Audrey’s/Aiden’s birthday, March 24th, 1995, has a sum of 77 using reverse Pythagorean reduction,[80] and her/his/its death date, March 27th, 2023, has an ordinal value of 77,[81] suggesting Baphomet was all in with the shemale. Easter egg: fifteen mass shootings at U.S. schools, from 1999’s slaughterhouse at Columbine High School in Colorado to the massacre at the Covenant School in Tennessee, have resulted in 175 murders (excluding the shooters),[82] syncing with Master Therion’s ASTARTE vel Liber BERYLLI sub figura CLXXV, aka Book 175 (1912), an instruction manual about how to unify with a supernatural entity, invoked in accordance with 777, during the ceremonial devotion, making these deaths ritual sacrifices to Baphomet to bring forth the Æon of Horus. What was the number of the United Airlines flight that struck the South Tower on September 11th, 2001? The Goat of Mendes is a motorcycle enthusiast; while in NYC, it palled around with the Hells Angels at their 77 East 3rd Street lair, the gang’s name having a sum of 42 using Pythagorean reduction.[83] Going back in time, 77 is December 7th, 1941’s ordinal value, the attack on Pearl Harbor, indicating the Goat of Mendes inspired the Japanese Navy to slaughter 2,403 United States servicemen and 68 civilians on that day of infamy.[84] The Dark Mother was present, hiding, killing and destroying because Pearl Harbor in Hawaii is 42 feet deep.

The Goat of Mendes and the Dark Mother love to screw with the weather, making it lethal, like Ming the Merciless (Max von Sydow, 1929-2020) in Flash Gordon (1980), a film that copies The Wizard of Oz. On August 12th, 1955, a date with a value of 49 (7²) using Pythagorean reduction,[85] Hurricane Diane reached peak sustained winds of 105 mph, making it a Category 2 storm; Diane made landfall in North Carolina, taking out 42 bridges in Delaware, but hit Connecticut the hardest with heavy rain and floods, killing 77 people. In mid-August 1991, NOAA 42 Hurricane Hunter flew a Synoptic Flow mission into Hurricane Bob as it pushed northward, eventually taking out much of New England with sustained winds of 77 mph. Hurricane Katrina first made landfall in Florida on August 25th, 2005, the 66th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz’s release, then moved on to destroy New Orleans, Louisiana, becoming the deadliest storm in U.S. history since 1928’s Okeechobee Hurricane 77 years earlier. Katrina killed 1,836 people; of those identified, 42 percent were black, 37 percent white, and three 3 percent Hispanic. Katrina’s destruction was beaten out by Hurricane Harvey 12 years later, a devastating Category 4 storm that made landfall in Texas on August 25th, 2009, the 70th anniversary of Oz’s theatrical release, bringing wind gusts of 77 mph, forcing 42,000 Houstonians into shelters as the Salvation Army deployed 42 mobile kitchens to the Lone Star State following its landfall. On June 8th, 2011, thinking itself Zeus, Baphomet hurled a lightning bolt at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center on U.S. Highway 49 (7²), sending 77 Air Force ROTC cadets to hospitals in the Hattiesburg, Mississippi metro area; the Goat’s aim was off that day because no one bit the dust. Back in the day, the famous Japanese-American 442nd Regimental Combat Team trained at the Camp, preparing for WWII.

The sinister duo occasionally farts around at nuclear power plants. On March 28th, 1979, they caused a partial meltdown of Unit 2 (TMI-2) reactor at the Three Mile Island station in Pennsylvania; the Goat targeted it because of its 700 employees, mainly electricians belonging to IBEW Local 777. The failure of the pilot-operated relief valve was the principal mechanical cause of what soon became a crisis; it sat on top of a large container called the pressurizer, which at TMI-2 was 42 feet tall, the Dark Mother’s thumbprint. In 1990, the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale (INES) was introduced by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to enable prompt communication of safety information in case of nuclear accidents, with seven levels: one is an anomaly, and seven is a significant accident. As of this book’s writing, there have been two seven-level incidents because that’s the Goat’s number, 77. First was the Chernobyl disaster (April 26th, 1986), where unsafe conditions during a test procedure resulted in a criticality accident, leading to a powerful steam explosion and fire that released a significant fraction of core material into the environment, generating an eventual death toll of 4,000–27,000. Strangely, 36 years later, Crowley’s number for Mercurius, when Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, 42 sensors began reporting radiation spikes in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone (CEZ), like la Madre Oscura was waking from her slumber to wreck worlds.[86] Second was the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan 25 years later (2 + 5 = 7), beginning on March 11th, 2011 (11, 11, Crowley’s dreaded dyad) when the Tōhoku earthquake produced a 42-foot-tall tsunami[87] that slammed into Japan’s coast 42 minutes after the quake,[88] inflicting severe damage to facility’s backup power and containment systems, described as “seven to forty-two times worse than Chernobyl,”[89] resulting in overheating and leaking from Fukushima nuclear plant’s reactors, like something out of a Godzilla movie.

Despite hexing John Lennon (vide supra), the Goat of the Sabbath and the Dark Mother are Beatles fans; first published in August 1963, the band’s monthly fanzine, The Beatles Book, continued for 77 editions, stopping publication in December 1969,[90] several months after the Fab Four performed an impromptu 42-minute concert from the rooftop of their Apple Corps headquarters on January 30th, 1969, a date with a reverse ordinal value of 154,[91] 77 doubled, and a few months after the Tate-LaBianca Murders of August 9th-10th in Los Angeles. The massacre appears to be a satanic invocation syncing with Rosemary’s Baby (1968) because Rosemary LaBianca (1929-1969) was killed, and so was an eight-and-a-half-month pregnant Sharon Tate (1943-1969), her unborn child butchered, murdering both a Rosemary and a baby, searing the homicides with hellfire.

Charles Manson (1934-2017) and his Family took their cue from the Beatles’ White Album, released on November 22nd, 1968 (11, 22, the dyad) five years after JFK’s assassination, transforming 10050 Cielo Drive and 3301 Waverly Drive (today 3311, 33, 11, the dyad again) into Dealey Plaza, splattering the residences with blood and gore, turning them into psychedelic nightmares. The Manson Family did whatever they wanted, slaughtering the victims mercilessly, enacting Crowley’s Thelemic mantra because the album is 93 minutes long, a work of prophecy heralding the Apocalypse, according to Manson. The tune that inspired Charlie the most was “♫ Helter Skelter ♫”; in British English, a helter skelter is a fairground attraction consisting of a tall spiral slide winding around a tower (or lighthouse), but it can also mean chaos and disorder. Thus, during the White Album’s July (7th month) 18th, 1968 (1 + 9 + 6 + 8 = 24; 7 + 18 + 24 = 49 or 7²) session, the Beatles initially recorded 3 takes of the song,[92] lasting 27 (2 + 7 = 9) minutes and 11 seconds, 9/11, because the towers are “♫ Coming down fast / oh yeah ♫” just as the blood-stained song goes, sending the Beast’s hex to September 11th, 2001 when “♫ Tuesday’s on the phone to me” as they sang on “♫ She Came In Through the Bathroom Window ♫” (1969). “♫ Helter Skelter ♫” is not the only jam that put Gary Hinman (1934-1969), Leno LaBianca (1925-1969), Sharon Tate, Abigail Folger (1943-1969), Steven Earl Parent (1951-1969), Jason Sebring (1933-1969), Rosemary LaBianca, and Wojciech Frykowski (1936-1969) into a meat grinder that summer. Kenny Rogers and The First Edition’s “♫ Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love to Town ♫” peaked in the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10 from August 8th-10th ’69, intensifying the killing curse, drenching that sweltering month with plasma.[93] After a lengthy trial, Charles Manson and his family were convicted of the Tate-LaBianca murders, the jury deliberating for 42 hours. Easter egg: was it a coincidence that Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), released exactly 20 years after Master Therion bought the farm (d. 1947, pictured on the upper left-hand side of the album), opens with the lyric, “♫ It was 20 years ago today ♫” when Sergeant Pepper–a stand-in for Crowley–“♫ taught the band to play ♫?”

As will be revealed in the first chapter, the Beast’s qabalistic digits lasso 9/11, John F. Kennedy (1917-1963), and Diana, Princess of Wales (1961-1997) like a cowboy at a rodeo, while Baphomet’s cloven hoofs trample these like stampeding wildebeests (recall The Lion King, 1994), imprinting its black magic, while linking them with diseased sinew to The Wizard of Oz, becoming harbingers of the Æon of Horus. For example, Lower Manhattan was transformed into the Land of OZ on 9/11/01, beginning when the FDNY issued a 10-60 (1 + 0 + 6 + 0 = 7) Code/Alarm for a major emergency responseseven minutes (big mistake) after the first plane hit, generating two sevens, or 77, inadvertently invoking the Goat of Mendes, who took over from there. Dispatched to the World Trade Center, 343 (7³) FDNY firefighters died battling the blazes inside the Twin Towers when they collapsed; before 9/11/01, the total number of FDNY firemen who lost their lives on active duty was 777. The time between the first aircraft, Flight 11, striking the North Tower at 8:46 a.m., and the final plane, Flight 93, crashing near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, at 10:03 a.m. is 77 minutes. Staying in the Keystone State, 35 (7 x 5) phone calls were made from Flight 93 before it plowed into a reclaimed strip mine going 490 knots (7 x 70) or 563 miles per hour (5 + 6 + 3 = 14 = 7 doubled or 77); seven minutes later, the upper floors of the Pentagon collapsed at 10:10 a.m. (10, 10, the dyad)… bah bah bah… Flight 11 departed Logan International Airport on runway 4R, or 418 since R is the eighteenth letter of the alphabet, shouting out Abrahadabra: the Age of Horus’ magic word… bah bah bah… the terrorist attacks killed 2,977 people that late summer day… eleventh September has a value of 77 using Pythagorean reduction…[94] bah bah bah… The Wizard of Oz has a sum of 77 employing Pythagorean reduction utilizing gematria[95] and had a budget of $2.777.000, indicating the flick’s secret financial backer.[96] The movie’s title also has an ordinal value of 176,[97] a pentagonal digit, spreading the curse, allowing Baphomet to bilocate and appear in the halls of the Defense Department on 9/11 where seven is pervasive; for instance, Flight 77 departed Dulles International Airport at 8:20 a.m., crashing into the 77-foot tall seven-story Pentagon 77 minutes later at 9:37 a.m., which is 577 minutes into the day, meshing the pentagram with the heptagram. The Dark Mother loves to hang out at the pentagonal building, turning up like a bad penny, her curse set in motion by Daniel Ellsberg (1931-2023, see Chapter I) in the early ’70s. Easter egg: on May 30th, ’77, Daily News columnist Jimmy Breslin received a letter from the serial killer, the Son of Sam, referring to himself as “The Wicked King Wicker,” an allusion to The Wicker Man (1973), a movie about a human sacrifice made to the sun god Nuada. Seventy-seven days would pass between the Breslin letter and the death of the sunlike King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, further inaugurating Crowley’s new age of Horus wherein OZ, the Goat of Mendes, is the Christlike godhead, demanding death and bloodshed as worship. The Egyptian deity Horus is depicted with a falcon’s head; ergo, David “Son of Sam” Berkowitz’s birth name is Richard David Falco.

A few days before the King’s death, Berkowitz was arrested, ending his murder spree. Berkowitz claimed Harvey, a black Labrador Retriever belonging to his neighbor Sam Carr, was possessed by a demon, ordering him to kill. Life imitates art again: one recalls the film Harvey (1950), in which the titular pooka qua rabbit is Elwood P. Dowd’s (Jimmy Stewart, 1908-1997) drinking buddy. It syncs mystically and ironically that the Son of Sam would be captured on August 10th, 1977, during the Dog Days of Summer, when Sirius, the Egyptian Dog Star, is exalted in the northern hemisphere; the above and below of Hermes Trismegistus was in full effect that day. Another Easter egg: two months beforehand, the Reverend Jim Jones (1931-1978) arrived in Jonestown, Guyana, on June 7th, ’77, making it a red-letter year for Baphomet; adding fuel to the fire, the name Jim Jones has a value of 49 or 7² using reverse Pythagorean reduction.[98] Later, the Goat of Mendes supplied the grape Flavor-Aid (a Kool-Aid rip-off) for the Peoples Temple mass murder-suicide on November 18th, 1978, putting over nine hundred mind-controlled parishioners into body bags, 17 months, or 75 weeks, after Jones arrived at the commune. November is the eleventh month, 18 is 1 + 8 = 9, for 11/9, or 9/11 reversed, presaging September 11th’s high death toll, and 1978 is 1 + 9 + 7 + 8 = 25 = 2 + 5 = 7, Baphomet’s lucky number. The Jonestown body count included Leo Ryan (1925-1978), a U.S. congressman from California’s 11th district who had come to Guyana to investigate claims that people were being held against their will at the Peoples Temple settlement. But Jones laid a trap for him, allowing him to take whoever wanted to leave the commune with him to the airport, where they were ambushed, and the Congressman assassinated. His murder marks the sun’s death because his forename is the zodiac house governed by the life-giving orb, allowing darkness to reign supreme at the Peoples Temple, opening the door to the Goat of Mendes to enter and horse around with cyanide. The name Leo Ryan has an ordinal sun of 90,[99] the value of the Hebrew letter tzadi צ: the fishhook; Master Therion was right on the money again because, in his qabalistic system, 90 represents a man caught in a trap like a fish on a hook, a prophetic warning dooming Mr. Ryan.[100] Afterward, an audio Death Tape was recovered from Jonestown, lasting 44 minutes, the number of Horus, with Jones preaching as the mass suicide was unfolding, cataloged as FBI No. Q042.

Who will the Goat of Mendes and the Dark Mother come for next? Applying the formula hitherto presented, using kabalistic sorcery, and Pythagorean mathematics, this author can identify two celebrities these dark entities have in their bullseye and will likely attack in the next six (4 + 2) to seven years: Taylor Swift and Sandra Bullock, but only time will tell. Nevertheless, I will dissect their unlucky numbers and ill-fated symbolism in the Introduction; Taylor and Sandra aside, beware, dear reader, because it might, after all, be you!

Unlike my other cinema tomes, this preface will be relatively brief as my purpose is to explain the book’s template (ü), give some teasers (ü), then move on to the good stuff. Conversely, as with my other volumes, keep an eye out for Easter eggs concealed in the text and image layout.[101] With that, I unveil Cinema Symbolism 4.
